I agree with what you said, Doug, about God stripping away everything you rely on in order for a person to begin to trust him. That is exactly how I feel now. I am far away from my family, my best friend, my mother. I am financially unstable, my cell phone got turned off, I even lost my little daily planner that I constantly carry around! God is definitely telling me that He is Numero Uno. I trust in Him for so many things, but I do so little to show Him just how much I trust Him. I have learned that I can't pray, "Lord, take control of me and lead me by your Holy Spirit today,: and then plan my whole schedule so that I'm doing everything I want to do when i want to do it and leaveing out my quality time with the Lord. This life is really not about me, and that is what I feel God showing me day by day.
