"Where do I see God at work around me right now?"
Everywhere!! God is truly working all around - at ALL times. Unfortunately, I am sometimes just too "busy" with my life to notice it.
I am growing SO much but I didn't even really realize it until this weekend. The verse came so clearly to me Sunday afternoon: "set your affection on things above...". If I am so CAUGHT UP in my life, I'm not setting my affection on Him. If my affection is on ANYTHING else, it is in the wrong place.
Why do we go through phases in our spiritual walk? ...being in our Word and then ... NOT being in our Word? Why aren't we consistent "in and out of season"?
It is so funny because we might be doing really well in our relationship with God but then something comes along and distracts us. We get sidetracked and chase after it - while in the process, losing our focus on God.
Ironically, God most likely wants us to have that very thing we are persuing but we must still seek Him FIRST. If we do that, it's a win-win situation. We know that if we get that thing we desired it has truly come "through the Cross". We know that "thing" (job, career, relationship, etc) is in God's will if we have sought after His face from the start.
People, GOD REALLY WANTS TO SEE US HAPPY!! (I'm talking to myself here...) ü If we truly understand this, we will obey Him. OBEDIENCE = JOY. How many blessings have I missed out on because I tried to do things my way?
Be encouraged - you can have what you are searching for if you just seek after the Lord. Be faithful in what He has asked you to do and He will be faithful to do what He has PROMISED to do.
