Praise the Lord!
Welcome to the Friendship Baptist
Church!
I greet each of you in the name
of the Lord Jesus! I am really excited about the Children's Ministry
here at the Friendship Baptist Church. The Church Where Christ
is Magnified! As I begin, I would like to share Colossians 1:
25-29 (NLT) with you. It states,
25 God
has given me the responsibility of serving his church by proclaiming
his message in all its fullness to you Gentiles.
26 This message was kept secret for centuries
and generations past, but now it has been revealed to his own
holy people.
27 For it has pleased God to tell his people
that the riches and glory of Christ are for you Gentiles, too.
For this is the secret: Christ lives in you, and this is your
assurance that you will share in his glory.
28 So everywhere we go, we tell everyone
about Christ. We warn them and teach them with all the wisdom
God has given us, for we want to present them to God, perfect
in their relationship to Christ. 29 I work very hard at this,
as I depend on Christ's mighty power that works within me.
This scripture summarizes my
mission and my purpose here at the Friendship Church. We have
many activities offered for children, but they are never designed
just so children can have fun, they are all planned and designed
to grow our children into men and women of God!!!
My primary focus and goal remains
to have the children of Friendship involved in the ministry. We
do this through child evangelism, using various teaching methods
to effectively teach children the Word of God!
We at Friendship want children
to know that they can…
- Carry the Word of God in their hearts
- Be a witness of God's good news
- Become a true worshiper of God
- Read their Bibles daily, and
- Talk to God daily through prayer
Friendship Village - Sunday Nursery
Friendship Village is open every Sunday during
both Worship Services to serve you and your child. Friendship
Village is currently located in the Multipurpose Building. We
serve children ages 2 to 5 (or Kindergarten age). Hours are as
follows:
First Service: 7:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.
Second Service: 11:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Children's Church
Here at Friendship we offer Children's Church every Sunday except
4th Sunday, during the 11:30am Worship Service!! Children meet in
the Multipurpose Building for exciting Bible Study time. Come and
bring your child (ages -6to 12) to learn more about God, His love
and to conduct their lives to please Him. These Church services
are age appropriate and geared for children and their needs.
Children's Choir
Voices of Friendship
This little person's choir, for children ages 3 to 12, has
toured southern California and performed at many civic centers
and various churches. They are full of charm and energy! They
express their love for the Lord through song. Voices of Friendship
perform various styles of Gospel music structured specifically
for children. They rehearse 2nd, 3rd, 4th Wednesday at 6:30 PM
and sing every 4th Sunday at 8:00 AM & 11:30 AM services.
Movie Night
Held every Thursday night in the
Multi-Purpose Building at 7:30p.m. A wonderful time for children
to fellowship together and learn about God through Christian movies
and discussion.
Tutoring
Tutoring is available Tuesday through Thursday for any students
who are interested and in need of some extra help. Call the church
office if these times do not meet your schedule, we may be able
to make some accommodations for you and your child.
Family Night
Wednesday night is Family Night here at Friendship! For our children
we offer tutoring, Choir Rehearsal, and a wonderful KIDZ Time
Bible Study.
Bible Time
A weekly Bible Study designed to uplift and encourage our children
during the week held on Tuesday Evenings at 7:30 p.m. If you as
a parent are in a Tuesday Night Bible Study or Choir rehearsal
know that your child has a wonderful opportunity to study God's
Word and learn of His love.
Children's Scholarship Ministry
It's never too early to get Children thinking about the future
and college. For this reason, we here at Friendship offer a Scholarship
program for children in Kindergarten through the fifth grade.
In order to participate in the FBC Higher Learning Scholarship
and Excellence Ministry, all participants must be active members
of Friendship Baptist Church. Active member is defined as: regularly
attending worship services on Sundays, regularly attending Sunday
School and/or a Bible Study, as well as participating in at least
one other church ministry.

Council
Children's Council is a group of Adults that service as an advisory
committee to help steer the activites and program planning for
Kingdom Kids Children's Ministry. This is an opportunity to serve
God and children in a ministry striving to raise the standard
of excellence!
