USHER MINISTRY
Psalms 84:10
I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house
of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.
Mission:
Our mission as the Ushers of Friendship Baptist Church is to join
together to demonstrate God's commission to us, to prayerfully
promote an atmosphere where all those entering the church will
feel welcomed, to meet the needs of the congregation during service,
and to keep any distractions to a minimum.
Vision:
The Usher Board's vision is to strive to provide a warm and welcome
environment for members and visitors of Friendship Baptist Church
by greeting, acknowledging members, and assisting all other ministries
with the guidance of the Pastor.
Our Goals:
Grow as a ministry by increasing membership and participation
Increase training to all ushers
Assist each ministry with church functions
Attend scheduled monthly meetings
Travel with the Pastor
Special Event:
Annual Usher's Day
What is an Usher of Friendship Baptist Church
An usher of FBC is an official whose business is to introduce;
to act as a forerunner and doorkeeper. Since an usher is a forerunner,
the great God of the universe was the first usher, for He ushered
light into the world and called it day. Church ushers are doorkeepers
in the house of God and guard at all times during the service.
