VISION
The Stepping Into Excellence Program is designed to fulfill the vision of Friendship Baptist Church to assist in the educational process for students who are college bound. This program will supplement the academic curriculum students receive at school. The program is designed to provide a foundation of skills, knowledge and strategies to prepare children intellectually, socially and emotionally for optimal academic success. We will provide an environment where students can excel academically to become academically competitive during the college enrollment process. Saturday Academy is held one Saturday per month.

MISSION
The mission of the Friendship Baptist Church Stepping Into Excellence Program is a program for students aspiring to higher achievement in education. To mentor students who are academically challenged to receive assistance with improving their grades as they transition into the higher achievement curriculum as the student prepares to enter college. To expose students to subject matters one to two grade levels beyond where they are in school and to prepare them for the next grade level. To support and assist parents and students in its endeavor to provide pre-college preparation and college admission assistance. To service students in grades 6 through 12, with an emphasis on the African-American Christian family. We are bible based, Christ centered and accountable to the only one and living God the Father, Jesus the Son and we are led by the Holy Spirit. A Friendship Baptist Church member must sponsor non-members of Friendship Baptist Church into the program.
